A petrol-fuelled hybrid car powered by a BMW engine recently completed a 35-minute flight between two international airports in Slovakia, Nitra and Bratislava.
While the prototype of a flying car called AirCar takes two minutes and 15 seconds to transform from a car into an airplane, Prof. Stefan Klein, the inventor, explained that the flying car has so far spent about 40 hours in the air and that it can fly about 1000 kilometres at an altitude of 8,200 feet.
In addition, the flying car reached a cruising speed of 170 km/h in the air and can carry two people with a total weight of 200 kg.
This is undoubtedly a very pleasant development, as car companies want to get involved in the concept in the near future.
