Microsoft Urges Skype For Business Users To Shift To Teams

Microsoft has continued to urge customers of Skype for Business Online to shift to Microsoft Teams, its relatively new business communications platform, as the deadline for the platform’s retirement, which is scheduled for July 31, approaches.

In a blog post, the Microsoft Teams department said: “With a month before service retirement, we encourage remaining Skype for Business Online customers to continue transitioning users and workloads to Teams.”

While Microsoft sent reminders to users in February and April, the tech giant will offer supported upgrades in August for customers who have not yet moved into teams.

Assistant upgrades will be available in two types that cater to organizations that use Skype for Business Online-only and Skype for Business Online users in a hybrid environment.
