Microsoft Launches Its New Teams Developer Portal

Microsoft launches its new Teams Developer Portal for Teams applications.

It is a one-stop shop for Teams application requirements like writing code or managing the apps.

The portal combines documentation and tools and hosting UI toolkits, which can help personalize the Teams apps with a unified look and feel.

The apps section of the Teams Developer Portal simplifies the process of packing an app for publication in the Teams App Store.

Even a test and validation tool checks if a user’s code is ready for loading, as it ensures that their code meets the basic Teams requirements.

Users still have to build their app using Teams web application development tools.

Microsoft uses the portal’s home page to provide quick links for the Visual Studio Code extension, a Teams UI kit, and a sample app to help users get started, along with all Teams developer documentation.

These tools are now all in one place making it much easier to get started.

Other tools are available to be tapped on the portal’s Tools tab, with tools for editing and designing Adaptive Cards as well as working with and operating artificial intelligence bots for chat integration with apps.

The Developer Portal includes a tool for creating custom scenes with backgrounds and images.

The editor has most of the features expected from a simple image editing environment, so anyone who knows PowerPoint can easily build a Teams meeting space.
