Apple Warns Against Using Hydrogen Peroxide To Clean Devices

Apple advises against using hydrogen peroxide to clean Apple products in an updated version of its support document titled “How to clean your Apple products.”

While Apple device owners can use 75% ethyl alcohol wipes as a safe-to-use cleaning agent, they are discouraged from using hydrogen peroxide along with bleach to clean products such as iPhones, iPads and other devices.

Apple also advises users to avoid getting any moisture in device openings and warns that their products should not be immersed in any cleaning agents.

Previous updates to the document were made at the height of the pandemic.
