Social Audio App Clubhouse Removes Invite-only Feature

Share post:

Live audio app, Clubhouse on Wednesday removed its invite system, so anyone can participate.

Until now, the invitation system required people to be invited by an existing user or request to join a waitlist before joining the platform.

In a blog post, the company revealed that it had always planned to open the app, but invitations were one way to moderate the numbers.

Clubhouse competes with several social networking apps such as Facebook and Twitter, which have ventured into audio chatroom functions.

The company is adding new updates to its app with a direct messaging feature added last week.
