T-Mobile Advises Users To Change Password, PIN After Breach

T-Mobile is advising customers to change their password and PIN and to set up a two-step verification process at the same time, as most of the stolen data is already on sale on the Dark Web following a data breach.

To change the password and PIN, users need to log in to the ‘My T-Mobile’ website to access their account, then select ‘My Profile’ on the ‘My T-Mobile’ menu.

On the Manage Profile page, users can click on the first option for profile information, then scroll down the Profile information page and click the Edit link in the Password section.

Users can then enter their current password, create a new password, enter and re-enter it, and then click Save.

For the PIN, users can click on the edit link in the PIN area, after which they enter and re-enter a new numeric PIN, resulting in a PIN of at least six digits, after which they click on Save.
