Elon Musk Raises Concerns Over Nvidia-Arm Deal

Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk, along with other tech corporations, has raised competition concerns about Nvidia Corp.’s proposed purchase of British chip designer Arm.

While Nvidia, the world’s largest maker of graphics and artificial intelligence, announced last year’s $54 billion purchase of Arm, Amazon and Samsung both criticized the move while objecting to the deal with US authorities.

Although the United States Federal Trade Commission launched an in-depth investigation into Arm acquisition earlier this year, with plans to publish the result of its findings in the coming weeks, Nvidia is moving forward with the deal as it seeks antitrust approval from the European Union.

Sources familiar with the situation indicate that regulators could launch a full investigation after a preliminary review.
