New Features Added to Microsoft Teams Last Month

Microsoft has announced multiple updates to its Teams platform to make the program more suited to hybrid and remote work policies.

Updates include two new presenter modes: “reporter mode”, which centers content on a screen shared with the participant and a side-by-side mode that shows a video feed next to the presenter’s content.

In addition, Microsoft Teams real-time captioning and transcription feature, previously only available in English, is now available in 27 additional languages. The Teams app also now starts live transcription immediately when recording is turned on.

Finally, Teams Together mode can now be customized via Microsoft’s low-code Power Platform. Notably, there are also updates for Teams Rooms on Android in version 1449/1.0.96.2021070803, including faster login and the ability for administrators to remotely log in to Teams panels.
