Wells Fargo Chooses Microsoft, Google As Cloud Service Providers

Wells Fargo & Co said Wednesday that it has selected Microsoft Corp and Google as its public cloud providers, essentially a multi-cloud approach.

Microsoft’s Azure will serve as the bank’s primary cloud provider, while Google Cloud will provide additional business-critical public cloud services.

As part of a new digital infrastructure strategy, Wells Fargo will also move to third-party data centers, as it seeks to rely largely on the public cloud in the long term.

Wells Fargo is the latest major bank to use third-party data centers for cloud-related services.

The bank did not disclose the financial details of its dealings with Microsoft and Google.
