Twitter Set To Fix Disappearing Tweets Problem

Share post:

Twitter said on Wednesday it was working on changes to prevent tweets from disappearing while app users read them.

The platform noted, “The background: a Tweet would move up the timeline as replies were added to the ongoing convo. Since some convos can evolve quickly, this made it so you didn’t see the same Tweet repeated in the TL. Our changes will keep your TL fresh and keep Tweets from disappearing mid-read.”

Twitter also announced that the platform will release new updates on how tweets are displayed to users over the next two months to ensure those tweets don’t go away.

Twitter’s timeframe suggests that the solution will not come immediately and users will have to continue using their Twitter account until the changes are made.

Twitter did not specify what kind of changes it plans to make to curb disappearing tweets.
