Neiman Marcus: 4.6 Million Customers Notified of Data Breach

Neiman Marcus Group said on Thursday it had been hacked, and leaked the personal information of its 4.6 million online customers.

Customer’s may have potentially had their personal information such as names, contact information and credit card numbers leaked in a data hack.

The high-end department store chain said it informed authorities about the breach, which it says occurred in May 2020.

Around 3.1 million payment and virtual gift cards were impacted, however, more than 85% of which were expired or invalid.

Neiman Marcus, which recovered from bankruptcy in September 2020, also noted there was no evidence that online customer accounts for its Bergdorf Goodman and Horchow units had also been impacted by the hack.
