Generation to Generation iPhone Improvements Not Impressive

Refurbished iPhones may be a smarter deal compared to getting the brand new iPhones on the market.

It’s a much bigger leap from the iPhone 6s generation to the iPhone 11 generation than from the iPhone 11 generation to the brand new iPhone 13. The improvements are very obvious between the 6s and the 11 or 12 and not so much between the 11 or 12 and the 13.

Looking at the 6s compared to the 11, the screen size is also a remarkable improvement. Overall, the iPhone 11 Pro is significantly smaller than the 6s Plus, but the actual screen size and quality is larger and better.

For comparison: While all screens blow away older screens after the iPhone X, the display between the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12 does not change dramatically.

Speed is another indicator. The iPhone 12 Pro has an A14 Bionic, while the 11 Pro has a similar A13 Bionic. In contrast, the 6s Plus has an Apple A9 chip. The performance difference is simply amazing.

The jump from the 6s Plus to the 12 Pro Max is a 4.2-fold increase in performance. The jump from the 6s Plus to the 11 Pro is a 3.6-fold improvement.
