Walmart Allowing Shoppers to Buy Bitcoin at Coinstar Kiosks

Walmart Inc announced Thursday that customers at a number of its U.S. stores will be able to buy bitcoin with Coinstar-installed ATM-like machines.

Coinstar, which has machines that can exchange physical coins for cash, has partnered with digital currency exchange CoinMe to allow customers to buy bitcoin at some of its kiosks.

Nationwide, there are 200 Coinstar kiosks in Walmart stores that allow customers to buy bitcoin, a Walmart spokesman said.
