Websites With the Most Outages in 2021

On the online forum, Reddit topped the list of the world’s most visited websites with the most outages in 2021, with 180 incidents, 60% of which are linked to its app.

Discord came second with 107 incidents (73% linked to server connection); Instagram, 106 incidents (55% linked to app issues); Facebook, 95 incidents (49% linked to website issues); Twitter, 50 incidents (47% linked to website issues); YouTube, 44 incidents (43% linked to website issues); Netflix, 44 incidents (59% linked to video streaming issues); Amazon, 35 issues (54% linked to website issues); WhatsApp, 34 incidents (46% linked to app issues); TikTok, 30 incidents (62% linked to app issues).

The report was carried out by UK-based online and phone comparison and switching service Uswitch, using data from Downdetector to determine how many outages some of the world’s biggest websites had in the UK.

Worldwide, Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp pages continue to dominate when it comes to outages.
