Google Creates More Options for its Calendar Meeting Invites

A new feature that will be embedded in Gmail under the Google Calendar Card will allow users to specify how they will participate physically or virtually in meeting.

The “Yes” feature at the bottom of an invitation on the Internet allows the user to choose from the three available options Yes; Yes, in a meeting room; Yes, join virtually.

With the feature, Google explained that “both the organizer and guests will be able to see how attendees are planning to attend the meeting in the event detail. This will help meeting attendees know what to expect when joining a meeting, and prepare accordingly.”

Although Google has begun rolling out the feature, it will be fully available to all Workspace customers in the coming weeks. To provide clarity, the feature will first be introduced to Google Calendar and then extended to Gmail invitations. It is also worth noting that the attendance details will not be visible to Microsoft users and other platforms.
