Microsoft Introduces Hide Your Own Video Feature

Microsoft is introducing a Hide Your Own video feature in Teams Meeting, which will help reduce users watching themselves during a meeting.

The new feature became vital after 5,000 users backed a claim about users seeing themselves.

The claim is that the video, which displays the faces of users in the lower right corner of their screen, is a big distraction during meetings.

The complaint on Microsoft’s community board states: “The self-view is always static in the bottom right-hand corner of a Teams meeting. This is often distracting and can also get in the way of the screen share.”

Microsoft pointed out that the feature will be available this month, which will help many Teams users focus more on their meetings without being distracted by their own video.
