Samsung Backs Out Of Its Exynos 2200 Launch

Samsung did not attend the planned launch of its Exynos 2200, which was scheduled for January 11. Although the company did not inform the press of the decision earlier, it has not yet announced any reason for the action.

Exynos is a series of ARM-based system-on-chips developed by Samsung Electronics’ System LSI division and manufactured by Samsung Foundry.

The Exynos 2200, the first Samsung SoC has an AMD GPU and it was expected to debut in the Galaxy S22 in February.

Announcing the Exynos 2200 event 12 days ago, Samsung said: “Stay tuned for the next Exynos with the new GPU born from RDNA 2. January 11, 2022.”

Samsung has yet to comment on its decision, and the only action it has taken so far is to delete its tweets promoting the show.

Rumours from a leaker claim Exynos 2200 will be completely removed from the Galaxy S22 range.
