Linux Foundation Launches New Training Courses On edX Platform

Linux Foundation has launched three new training courses on the edX platform. The three courses include Open Source Software Development: Linux for Developers (LFD107x), Linux Tools for Software Development (LFD108x), and Git for Distributed Software Development (LFD109x).

The three courses combine into the “Open Source Software Development, Linux, and Git” Professional Certificate Program. Interested candidates can decide to take them individually or combined.

Interested participants who want to make the most from the courses will need to earn a professional certificate. To do this, they must enroll in the program, complete all three courses, and pay a verified certificate fee of $149 per course.

Participants can also take the three courses for free via edX in audit mode.

Taking a glimpse at the courses, the first course, Open Source Software Development: Linux for Developers (LFD107x) explains the key concepts of developing open-source software. It also explains how to work productively in Linux.

The second course, Linux Tools for Software Development (LFD108x) examine the tools necessary to do everyday work in Linux development environments and beyond. The last course, Git for Distributed Software Development (LFD109x) provides a detailed introduction to Git.
