Two Security Team Leaders Quit Twitter

Twitter announced the departure of its head of security and the pending resignation of its chief information security officer in the next few weeks.

This change follows the departure of Twitter co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey in November, and the change of leadereship with Parag Agrawal as the new CEO. Agrawal has since reorganized the leadership structure of the social media giant.

Twitter did not explicitly state if the departures were voluntary.

Peiter Zatko, a prominent hacker also known as “Mudge,” took the reins as head of security in 2020 after Twitter suffered a security breach that enabled hackers to tweet from verified accounts of public figures such as Bill Gates and Elon Musk.
