Watercoolr Provide A New Alternative To Zoom and Teams Apps

Watercoolr, a virtual meeting room, has opened up new dimensions for remote/ hybrid workers during virtual meetings.

Designed to bridge the gap and restore lost connections between workers, the app is described as “a new way to foster community and informal conversation among today’s virtual workers.”

The technology tool allows workers to pair off and go into private rooms after meeting all on one screen, workers can click on a coworker’s image ans then offer them a private conversation.

“Zoom, Teams, Bluejeans, and all the others are built around a single audio channel and a single conversation, in which all participate. It is a simple hub and spoke architecture. This works great for 4, 6 or 8 participants. not so good for 14, 16, 18,” Shindig founder and CEO Steve Gottlieb explained.

While other virtual meeting platforms offer breakout sessions to appeal to a large number of attendees, Gottlieb explained why Watercoolr excels.

“Breakouts, isolated preset private chats, are completely different than being in a private chat that is part of a shared experience. A breakout doesn’t allow you to see all the other things going on in the event, or allow you to move easily conversation to conversation, or merge groups, or bring people into your conversation at will,” Gottlieb noted.
