IT Decision Makers Share The Challenges Of Moving To The Cloud

Share post:

Organizations face various challenges that make moving to the cloud a difficult task.

The three biggest challenges IT decision makers report on are cloud cost control, data privacy and security, and a lack of security expertise.

Other challenges include the cost of moving data to and from the cloud, security management, lack of cloud management skills and difficulties in finding people with the skills required.

According to the survey, the adoption of the cloud has had a positive impact on businesses, with 60% of IT decision makers confirming sustainable growth in the last 12 months.

In terms of security management, 35% of ITDMs reported data privacy and security concerns, and 34% said that their organization lacked the skills and expertise to keep cloud data secure. 25% said that securing and protecting cloud resources was a difficult task.

For IT decision-makers, migration difficulties in the cloud could be a thing of the past if cloud providers can guarantee security competence, better cloud and cost management capabilities, and strategic guidance.
