Facebook’s parent company Meta will open its Meta Store in California in May. The store marks the company’s first retail store. It will occupy 1,550 square feet on Meta’s Burlingame, California, campus.

Products that will be available include the VR system Meta Quest 2, a range of camera-loaded Ray-Ban shades and the Portal video-call system.

Customers who demonstrate the Ray-Ban Stories line of glasses at the Meta Store and are interested in purchasing their own eyewear must log in to Ray-Ban.com to complete a purchase.

The store allows customers to test and purchase physical products from Meta. Customers can also try out a variety of games and apps on Meta Quest VR systems complete with a “demo wall.” The demo wall showcase what the VR user sees to anyone outside of the headset.

The demo station will include mounted cameras that record the gameplay session and then combines real and virtual footage to create a 30-second “mixed reality” videoclip that the user can access with a kind of meta-login required for later viewing.
