Xbox Network Suffers Outage, Users Unable To Play Games

The Xbox Network is suffering from a massive outage. Players from across the Xbox family of consoles and services are reporting a variety of issues affecting the Microsoft Store, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and even launching and playing of digital games.

“We’re aware that some users are unable to purchase games, launch games, or start Cloud Gaming sessions. Our teams are investigating. Please keep an eye here and on our status page for updates,” Xbox Support tweeted.

Some of the issues affecting Xbox include the inability to make purchases from the Microsoft Store and the inability to manage or make purchases, including for Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold and others.

Other problems include the inability to launch Xbox Cloud Gaming sessions, and the inability to launch and play many digital games, especially those that are part of subscription fees such as Xbox Game Pass.

Currently, the only way for players to get around the problem is to play games from physical discs or potentially disconnect from the internet and play offline.

While Xbox Support has reported the outage as fixed, some users continue to experience problems with the platform’s services.
