Thousands Of Twitter Users Report Outage

Thousands of Twitter users were unable to access the platform for about an hour on Thursday afternoon. Downdetector, which monitors the outage, received notifications from users at 12:45 BST and by 13:12, almost 30,000 notifications had been received by the platform.

While the problem appears to have been fixed by 13: 45, Twitter tweeted at 2: 10 p.m. that the problem had been fixed.

“Some of you are having issues accessing Twitter – and we’re working to get it back up and running for everyone. Thanks for sticking with us,” Twitter said.

While the outage affected mobile phones, iOS and Android, including services such as TweetDeck, Twitter’s status page indicated that the site was fully functional.

Although the Twitter app and website were able to load, the platform would not load any new tweets or notifications.

“And we’re back! We had some trouble with our internal systems that impacted many of you globally. Twitter should be up and running as expected — sorry for the interruption,” Twitter shared.

Twitter has a lot to do right now, especially with Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s recent decision to abandon his decision to take over the company. The company is suing the billionaire in a Delaware business court for failing to comply with the deal.
