85% Of Android Users Are Concerned About Their Privacy

According to data collected by Kaspersky’s Privacy Checker website, 85% of Android users are interested in understanding how to set up privacy settings on their device.

22% of this year’s requests (apps) are related to Google security guidelines.

Android took the top spot for requests for privacy policies for services. Windows and iOS achieved the same result (6%) while the lowest number of requests were recorded for Mac (3%).

On request related to instructions on operating systems, Android request came out on top with the highest number of users interested in medium-level privacy settings for Google (17%). The next three positions all recorded the same number of 9%. These include medium-level privacy rules for Chrome and WhatsApp, as well as the strictest policies for Google. The fifth was medium-level security instructions for Facebook (7%).

In service settings, users were most interested in policies for Google (22%), WhatsApp (14%), privacy rules for operating systems and Chrome (12% each). Instagram (11%) completed the top five, slightly better than Facebook this year in terms of the number of requests at 10%.
