Zoom Fix Issues that Prevent Users from Starting or Participating in Meetings

Zoom Video Communications, which offers a cloud-based communication platform for video conferencing, online meetings and collaboration via mobile phones, desktop and phone systems and apps, announced that the problem that prevented users from starting and joining meetings has been resolved.

Zoom confirmed the problems after more than 40,000 users reported receiving error messages saying “sorry, the page you are looking for is now unavailable” and “502 bad gateway” responses while trying to attend meetings on the video conferencing platform.

“We are investigating reports of zoom.us being unavailable. Our teams are investigating the service-impacting event right now. Our engineers are looking into it,” Zoom said in a statement after the discovery.

It then became active to restore affected users who had difficulty attending conferences, logging in, and experiencing server connection failures.

While the Zoom outage affected the majority of users, some Zoom accounts were still able to connect to personal logins, but work and school accounts were severely compromised, and the company has said it will continue to monitor and provide updates as they become available. The source of the problem remains unknown to the public.
