Adobe announces software tools to improve 3D, immersive and metaverse goals

Share post:

Adobe has announced a series of new software tools to make it easier to create 3D digital objects for marketing campaigns, video games and metaverse, with new collaboration and artificial intelligence capabilities for its Creative Cloud applications. The tools are designed to make digital objects faster and easier to create.

The 3D Capture tool allows the user to photograph a real-world object with any camera and then combine the photos into a digital 3D object. A shoe store, for example, could allow the user to virtually try on sneakers to see what they look like with augmented reality on their feet.

The second Adobe tool allows artists to move from editing 3D objects on a desktop computer to manipulating them with their hands in a virtual reality headset. It allows virtual artists to simulate the sensation of sculpting clay, which is still used to construct cars and other objects, while possessing the precision of working on a computer.

The Substance 3D portfolio is designed to meet the needs of both 3D and 2D artists who are adding new perspectives to their work. Adobe also announced that Substance 3D tools will be added to Meta’s Quest platform to allow users to create and share immersive 3D content, while Meta will provide its users with Adobe’s powerful, user-friendly 3D creation tools.

Adobe is also introducing a Share for Review feature that allows Photoshop and Illustrator users to collaborate on projects without leaving their respective apps.
