Microsoft launches Supply Chain platform

Share post:

Microsoft has unveiled the Microsoft Supply Chain Platform, which combines artificial intelligence, collaboration, low-code, security and Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.

With an open approach, the Supply Chain Platform helps organizations maximize their existing supply chain investments by bringing the best of Microsoft AI, collaboration, low code, security and Software as a Service (SaaS) applications to a composable platform.

Microsoft also announce the preview of the Microsoft Supply Chain Centre as part of the new Microsoft Supply Chain Platform. The Supply Chain Centre enables customers to get started quickly by providing them with a ready-made “command center” that integrates natively with existing supply chain data and applications.

The Supply Chain Center is now in beta testing. It is intended to provide customers with a centralized view of existing applications as well as information from Microsoft and other vendors. Artificial intelligence is used to predict shortages and supply bottlenecks in its supply and demand findings. In addition, other management tools are available to organize and automatically fill orders.

Microsoft Teams, a chat and conferencing software, is also integrated into the center. This is done to improve communication between employees and external suppliers. Facilities and services from partners such as CH Robinson Worldwide Inc. and FedEx Corporation are available at the center.
