Spotify back up after outage

Spotify, a music streaming platform, experienced a brief outage on Friday night, leaving several users without access to the live music streaming platform.

According to DownDetector, over 38,000 users in the United States reported issues while using the audio streaming platform. At 7.12 a.m., more than 5,500 users in the United Kingdom reported problems with the platform.

“Everything’s looking much better now!” Spotify Status, an account that provides updates about the audio platform’s status, said on Twitter. The tweet came after an initial tweet that said, “Something’s not quite right, and we’re looking into it. Thanks for your reports!”

According to the company’s web API status page, there is a “minor” partial outage affecting only the player itself.

As Spotify was coming back online, Downdetector said reports of outages had fallen below 2,000. Other than that, there is an indication that there is an issue with the routing of the cloud.
