T-Mobile has announced that it is investigating a data breach that could have affected 37 million accounts. According to the company, they are collaborating with cybersecurity experts and law enforcement to determine the scope of the incident and take appropriate action to protect affected customers.

Customers were also advised to be wary of any suspicious activity on their accounts and to report any unusual activity to T-Mobile as soon as possible.

According to the company, malicious activity was detected on January 5 and contained within a day, and no sensitive data, such as financial information, was compromised. T-Mobile stated that some basic customer information was obtained, including name, billing address, email address, and phone number.

According to T-Mobile, the data compromise began around November 25, and the company is now “working with law enforcement” on the matter. T-Mobile stated that it discovered “no evidence” that the hacker “was able to breach or compromise our systems or network.”

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States has also launched an investigation into the company’s data breach incident.
