Marriott announces Drew Pinto as revenue head

Marriott International announced the appointment of Drew Pinto as EVP and Chief Revenue and Technology Officer. Pinto will report to Anthony Capuano, CEO.

“The size and scale of our company is significant, and we expect it to be even more so given the exciting opportunities ahead of us,” said Anthony Capuano, President and CEO, Marriott International. “With the recent announcement of two executive departures, I am reshaping my team to ensure we can be nimble and effective in driving strategies to benefit our customers, associates and owners and franchisees around the world.”

Pinto will oversee the company’s IT, digital, sales, revenue management, and distribution channels. “These global platforms are critical to Marriott’s continued growth and profitability,” Capuano said in a statement. Pinto previously led a team of 6,000 in his previous role as global officer of global sales, distribution, and revenue management, with a portfolio encompassing more than $35 billion in revenue and 67 million customer contracts annually, according to the company’s website.

In addition, long-time Marriott executive Peggy Fang Roe was named Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, reporting to Mr. Capuano. Ms. Roe will be in charge of developing and implementing key aspects of the company’s global consumer strategy, such as evolving our brand portfolio, the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, and developing the end-to-end customer experience with data, AI, and innovation to fuel future growth.

Roe will be responsible for “developing and executing key aspects of the company’s global consumer strategy, including evolving our portfolio of brands, the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, and developing the end-to-end customer experience using data, AI, and innovation to fuel future growth,” according to the company. Roe and Pinto have both been with the company for over two decades. Roe moves up from her previous position as global officer for customer experience, loyalty, and new ventures.
