According to CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Meta intends to integrate generative AI into its products in a way that will be helpful and meaningful people.
Zuckerberg did not go into detail about how Meta will incorporate generative AI into its apps. Zuckerberg stated that the business is investigating chat experiences in WhatsApp and Messenger, graphic creative tools for posts on Facebook and Instagram, marketing, and, in the future, video and multi-modal experiences. He believes that these technologies, like AI bots for corporate communications and customer service, will be useful to ordinary people, artists, and enterprises.
Meta was first slow to establish the infrastructure required to support these sorts of AI functions. It has, however, caught up and intends to introduce generative AI solutions in the coming months. Earlier this year, it launched an AI language model dubbed LLaMA, but it has yet to unveil anything matching OpenAI’s ChatGPT in a broadly accessible manner.
The exceptional success of OpenAI’s ChatGPT has propelled generative AI to the forefront of technology, with Google, Meta, and Snap rushing to develop rival applications. Zuckerberg stated that generative AI will “literally touch every single one of our products” and hinted at how the technology may speed up WhatsApp’s embryonic customer care service.
