Former Twitter Exec appointed chief communications officer at Tools for Humanity

Rebecca Hahn, a former Twitter communications executive, has been named chief of communications of Tools for Humanity, the parent company of WorldCoin, which was founded by Sam Altman, Alex Blania, and Max Novendstern.

Hahn, who formerly worked at Bird, The Outcast Agency, and Twitter, says she’s focusing on improving the company’s communication infrastructure. John Wachunas, a former Twitter and Bird employee, has been hired to oversee editorial material alongside her. Riff City Strategies, a third party, has also been contacted by Hahn.

In reaction to her new position, Hahn expressed her excitement, stating that her interest is working with technologies and teams that have the ability to alter people and the earth. She added that Tools for Humanity’s backing of the Worldcoin initiative is a wonderful match for this enthusiasm.

This announcement comes on the heels of Blockchain Capital’s recent $115 million financing round. a16z Crypto, Bain Capital Crypto, and Distributed Global were among the notable investors in this round.
