Threads adds keyword search in English and Spanish

Meta’s Threads has added a keyword search feature that allows users to search for posts that contain specific keywords or terms.

The keyword search feature is available in English and Spanish and is rolling out in the U.S., Argentina, India, and Mexico. It will be available in other countries in the coming weeks.

To use the keyword search feature, open Threads and tap on the search icon. Type in the keyword or term you want to search for and tap on the search button. Threads will then display a list of posts that contain the keyword or term.

The keyword search feature is a major addition to Threads and will make it easier for users to find the content they are looking for. It is also a way for Threads to compete with other social media platforms, such as X (formerly known as Twitter), which have had keyword search features for many years.

In addition to the keyword search feature, Meta has also added a few other features to Threads in recent months. These include a website version of the app, a direct messaging feature, and a way to edit posts.
