IBM and AWS expand generative AI partnership

Share post:

IBM Consulting and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have expanded their partnership to bring new generative AI solutions to contact centers and supply chains. Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence that can create new content, such as text, code, and images.

The expanded partnership will focus on contact center modernization with Amazon Connect, which will use generative AI to summarize and categorize voice and digital customer conversations. This will help agents to quickly understand the customer’s needs and resolve issues more quickly.

It will also focus on Platform Services on AWS to use generative AI to automate IT operations tasks, such as incident response and problem diagnosis. It will also use generative AI to improve platform engineering tasks, such as code generation and testing.

Also, it will focus on Supply Chain Ensemble on AWS to use generative AI to create a virtual assistant for supply chain professionals. This assistant will help professionals to optimize inventories, reduce costs, streamline logistics, and assess risks.

In addition to the new solutions, IBM Consulting also plans to train 10,000 consultants on AWS generative AI services by 2024. This will help IBM Consulting to better support its clients in their adoption of generative AI.
