Dharmesh Shah, co-founder and CTO of HubSpot, has launched a new site called Agent.ai — a professional network where users can build, customize, and share AI agents designed to automate tasks.
Agent.ai is built on the idea that AI agents will become as common as web apps in the near future. The platform offers a marketplace of agents that can help with tasks like company research, competitor analysis, website valuation, copy editing, and even meme generation. Users can also build and share their own AI agents using the platform’s Agent Builder tool, currently in beta.
Shah believes Agent.ai could change the way people think about task automation. In a blog post, he wrote: “In a year or two, I think it’ll be as common to build AI agents to solve customer problems as it is to build web apps today.”
The site aims to make AI agents accessible to a broader audience — particularly business professionals — by lowering the barrier to creating and using these tools. The “Company Research Agent,” for example, gathers data on businesses to keep users updated on competitors and partners. The “Web Page Copy Editor” enhances website content to improve readability and engagement.
The launch comes at a time when AI automation is increasingly reshaping businesses. By making these tools more approachable, Shah is betting that Agent.ai can replicate some of the success he found with HubSpot, where simplifying customer relationship management (CRM) made the platform a success.
Agent.ai positions itself as a community-driven space for sharing and improving AI agents. Users can see agents created by others, adapt them to their own needs, and offer feedback to the platform as it grows.
For Shah, it’s another chance to capitalize on a growing tech trend — and it might just help businesses keep pace in a world that’s moving faster every day.
