Faster Speeds, Wider Coverage With Canada 6GHz Wi-Fi

The Canadian government is opening up the 6GHz band to radio frequencies, tripling the amount of Wi-Fi currently available and leading to wider coverage and faster speeds.

The expanded spectrum will also make broadband more affordable for rural Canada after the Trudeau government took steps to improve internet access in rural Canada and minimize prices for Canadians.

More than 20 companies can apply.
