FBI Issues Warnings On BEC Scammers Impersonating Companies

The FBI recently issued warnings to private sector companies informing them of a trend of fraudsters posing as construction companies in business email compromise (BEC) attacks.

While the TLP: GREEN Private Industry Notification (PIN) warning was sent out to organizations to help cybersecurity experts fend off BEC attacks, the FBI stated that fraudsters are exploiting the ongoing, concluded, or contracted business relationships of construction companies to defraud their private and public sector clients.
