Google announced the launch of Android 12 Beta 5 on Wednesday and told developers to complete their apps for the upcoming official release.

The tech giant launched the first developer beta of Android 12 earlier this year and followed it up with a more detailed discussion of features and capabilities at Google I/O in May, along with a public beta for any user with a compatible phone to install.

New features include better privacy controls and a new Material You design that matches the interface colors throughout the phone based on the user’s wallpaper.

Google has not disclosed the exact date when Android 12 will be officially released, but analysts say that this may be sometime in October.
