Amazon Web Services recently launched four new initiatives as part of its ongoing goal of educating 29 million people on its cloud service platform by the end of 2025.

First, the tech giant launched its brand new AWS Skill Builder courses. This definitive digital learning tool will be available to users in 200 countries and will initially offer almost 500 free on-demand courses, with 60 more to come before the end of the year. Content will be available in 16 languages and will include automatically generated recommendations from AWS on progress paths based on job roles and technology sectors.

Second, AWS unveiled a portion of the Skill Builder library, which will also be available on Amazon’s retail site, which will offer free courses on basics of cloud computing, cloud architecture, among many others, which will be collected in the appropriate AWS Courses section.

For those preparing for in-depth and formalized training, the tech giant is expanding its AWS re/Start program from its current 25 cities in 12 countries to 95 cities in 38 countries by early 2022. This program is aimed at people with “little or no technology experience” and offers a 12-week full-time program to get started on a career in cloud computing. The courses are offered free of charge and connect 90% of graduates with job interviews.
