Palantir to Shift UK Data Operations Out Of The U.S.

Palantir Technologies announces a plan to move all U.K. data processing operations out of the United States.

The new development is fueled by growing concerns around the world about stricter data protection rules, according to the company.

Right now, the handling of metadata is processed in the United States, and the company plans to move all of its data processing to the U.K. by the end of 2022.

The move will therefore provide better security for customers in the U.K. and also in the EU, as the company hopes the move will make them less vulnerable to attack.

The company said the move will give Britain the leeway it needs to be “fully autonomous as regulations change and geopolitical threats around the world increase.”

As well as being a multi-million-pound investment for the company, the move will also benefit the region in other ways, including the creation of 250 new jobs at its headquarters in London.
