Twitter Users Report “Something Went Wrong” Errors

Twitter users report that they see “Something went wrong. Try reloading,” and “Uh oh, there was an error” messages.

Twitter web users trying to click on tweets in the Twitter web app, only end up receiving errors and a Retry button underneath, without a sidebar menu. Mobile users also report seeing the same errors displayed when clicking tweets.

According to the outage monitoring platform, some Twitter users continue to have problems loading the Twitter website altogether.

Although thousands of users reported having encountered the error problems when trying to use Twitter’s website or mobile app, the Twitter support account has remained silent on the current outage with the company yet to update the API Status page. Twitter’s failure to update its status page shows that all systems are up and running.

The latest outage follows an earlier outage that affected the Twitter web version, with many users around the world unable to access the platform during the outage, even though the mobile apps appeared to continue functioning smoothly.

The outage began around 7: 30pm ET, with Twitter confirming the problem and saying it was working to fix it.

Twitter later announced it had fixed the problem: “We’ve fixed this and Twitter for web should now be back to normal.
