Google Planning Feature For Answering Calls Chromebooks

A feature currently in development in Chromium’s open-source code review tools would give Chromebook users the ability to answer phone calls on their Chromebook through its Phone Hub feature.

Although Phone Hub supports phones running Android 5.1 or newer, the new feature, which “enables the incoming/ongoing call feature in Phone Hub” will initially be available to Pixel phones, in part due to the excitement surrounding Google’s “Eche” initiative.

There are also expectations from Google for a new Phone Hub update that will allow users to view their current photos on their computers.

The new feature, which is currently in the works for Chromebook users, is already available for Windows users with Android devices that already have the option available through their phone. MacOS users with iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches also have the same capability with the Continuity feature.
