Rocky Linux’s 8.4 First General Release

The general availability of Rocky Linux 8.4 which is binary-compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.4, was recently announced by Rocky Linux.

Rocky Linux 8.4 is compatible with Linux 8.4, which makes it possible to run only apps developed and tested for RHEL without RHEL itself.

What makes Rocky Linux and its competitor AlmaLinux so special is that both distros were created to fill the gap left by the CentOS setup, and their goal is to provide commercial support to anyone who needs it.
