Microsoft Solves High-Pitched Audio Bug In Windows 10

This week, Microsoft released the Windows 10 KB5003690 preview cumulative update, which has now fixed the audio bug that causes applications to play high notes or squeaking noises while using certain apps in Windows 10 2004, Windows 10 20H2 and Windows 10 21H1.

While the KB5003690 update is currently an optional update and Windows 10 users will only receive it if they manually perform a “Check for updates” and install the update, those who are not interested in installing the preview update will have to wait until July 2021 Patch Tuesday update to get the fix.
