Apple expands self-repair programme

Share post:

The Apple Self Service Repair program, which allows customers to perform common repairs on their devices such as battery replacements, iPhone screen replacements, and more, has now been expanded to include the Mac Studio, M1 iMac, M1 Mac mini, and Studio Display.

Users can browse the company’s website for a collection of repair manuals for all of these products and read the manual if they want to use the self-service repair program. Customers can use the program to access repair manuals, purchase genuine Apple parts, and rent the tools needed to perform DIY repairs.

The program is only recommended for those who are comfortable performing these repairs, which involve numerous steps, the use of advanced tools, and can take a long time. If what they see in the instructions does not intimidate them, the cost of some parts may discourage users from repairing.

Instead of taking their devices to the Apple Store or a repair shop, iPhone and Mac owners can go to Apple’s website to buy or rent repair kits, which include parts and manuals, to perform repairs themselves.
