Grammarly, a writing assistant powered by AI, has announced the release of GrammarlyGo, a generative AI feature that will allow users to brainstorm ideas, improve communication, compose writing, edit, and personalize text.

The generative AI product, which will be available in beta in April, is a content creation tool for businesses and individuals, with the goal of generating relevant text that matches a personal voice, as well as brand style and context for professional use cases.

Although it will be available across Grammarly’s product portfolio, which has 30 million daily users worldwide. Grammarly Free users will be able to test the new product in select markets. GrammarlyGo will be available to Grammarly Premium, Grammarly Business, Grammarly for Education, and Grammarly for Developers users as well.

GrammarlyGo, according to Grammarly, will use personal, organizational, and situational context to assist in the creation of messages for email, social media, and long-form communication. That is, if you use GrammarlyGo to write an interoffice message to your work team, the tool may assist you in sounding more professional.

It will also prompt you to improve, simplify, or shorten a message, as well as to change the tone of the message for different scenarios. Users will also be able to create their own prompts to meet their specific requirements. The tool will also include one-click prompts to assist users in overcoming writer’s block.

GrammarlyGo’s limited understanding of context and tone suggests that it is not only a generative AI but also a very basic contextual AI.
