Salesforce launches Slack GPT

Share post:

Salesforce has announced the debut of Slack GPT, its latest conversational AI platform, in collaboration with OpenAI. The platform is intended to bring natural language processing and conversation creation capabilities to the workplace, with the purpose of improving communication, increasing productivity, and speeding decision-making.

Slack GPT is a Salesforce AI-powered customer relationship management (CRM) platform extension that provides natively integrated AI functionalities for the Slack platform. The technology is intended to provide organizations with easy access to trustworthy consumer data and internal expertise, allowing them to work smarter and make better choices faster.

According to Lidiane Jones, CEO of Slack, “Generative AI has enormous potential to redefine how work is done and unlock significant business productivity… The real power of this technology is when AI can analyze and act on the most valuable data from a company’s most trusted resource — its own internal knowledge.”

Slack GPT also has customized automated workflows and a dedicated Einstein GPT app for Slack. Users may create customized workflows to automate operations using simple prompts, with no coding skills necessary. If privacy is a problem, businesses can incorporate their own proprietary software or large language model (LLM) apps into the Slack ecosystem.

The news was made during the Salesforce World Tour event, with Salesforce indicating that the functionality will not be available to regular Slack users for some time.
