Newegg introduces AI-powered PC Builder tool

With its AI-powered PC Builder shopping tool, e-commerce leader Newegg Commerce has changed its online shopping experience.

Previously in open beta, it integrated ChatGPT into both the desktop and mobile websites and debuted an interactive shopping experience with a redesigned user interface (UI). This improved user interface provides consumers with up to three full build lists comprised of suitable PC components. Customers may acquire a better grasp of the AI-recommended options by viewing thumbnails and pricing for each component.

Users may also accept or renew specific components or the full AI-generated construction list, according to Newegg. This guarantees that the AI’s alternatives are always growing while also offering useful input to assist improve its performance. Users may also easily evaluate their history of submitted prompts. Customers may effortlessly add the desired construction list to their basket after they are satisfied with their selections.

Andrew Choi, Newegg’s Director of Brand Marketing, expressed his delight at the positive customer reaction to the PC Builder open beta with integrated ChatGPT, emphasizing customers’ enthusiasm for AI features in online shopping and the potential for AI to revolutionize the shopping experience.

Furthermore, Newegg unveiled a new “Combo Up Savings” function that would be incorporated into PC Builder and general product category browsing to deliver bundled savings. Customers may obtain even bigger discounts if they buy in quantity, which simplifies the buying process while maximizing savings.
