Twitter has resumed its payments to Google Cloud for the services rendered, according to a reliable source.
Twitter previously refused to pay its Google Cloud expenses after it had been renegotiating the contract conditions since March, following Musk’s implementation of a number of cost-cutting initiatives, like the authorization to cut $1 billion from its infrastructure budget, which included a drop in expenditure on cloud services, in order to save costs.
Google Cloud was initially unable to get in touch with Musk to discuss the unpaid bills. The company eventually reached out to SpaceX, Musk’s space exploration firm, in an attempt to get in touch with him. But Sources reveal that Yaccarino played a vital role in facilitating the reconciliation and will further collaborate with Google to explore a more comprehensive partnership.
As part of the agreement, Twitter and Google Cloud are exploring a deeper partnership that could include advertising and Google’s use of Twitter’s API.
